Urban Decay occurs during the gradual falling apart of a previously functional city. Urban decay may be caused by deindustrialization, economic breakdown, and failure of businesses, which in turn leads to increasing crime rates, growing unemployment, and rising poverty in the area. This condition is evident from abandoned buildings, overrun sewers, trash and rubble on the streets, and a desolate landscape.
When viewing my work, my hope is that you feel a sense of desolate coldness but yet a feeling of intimacy and sadness of things that were.
I am currently living and working in Boston MA. I'm constantly surrounded by tall buildings, cement walls and urban decay. I use the decay as a focal point on all my art. It tells of a life that once was.
My work has been published in books, magazines, calendars, and even on greeting cards.
I have a BFA from Mass Art and Design in Boston. I have exhibited my work in galleries, art fairs and markets. Also you can find a lot of my work on prints, greeting cards, iphone cases, skateboards and more through my zazzle story. (here)
Please feel free to browse through my site and if there is a design you like and would like it on a specific product through my zazzle shop, please do not hesitate to let me know. (hit the contact section) I can have it for you pretty quickly.
All prints are on museum quality photo paper, canvas, and there is a large selection of framing options to choose from. All my products that are purchased through zazzle allows you to customize them with your own ideas, texts and photos to your hearts content.
